Someone Sweeter.
Someone Sweeter.

Just when I was hurting the most,
I’ve suddenly realized it matter not anymore,
To that I shall raise a toast,
For I finally accepted that I was but a jewelry you wore,

Something you’d put on and take off,
Something that matters little to you,
I’m finally able to smile, not scoff,
A fool I may always be, but no more a fool for you,

I’ll find someone unlike you,
Someone that is sincere,
Someone that wouldn’t be untrue,
Someone, sweeter,

I may sound terribly silly,
But unlike you I’m in no hurry,
I’m finally over you,
That’s a fact I’ll force it true.

Author's Note: I've not written one for sometime. been a little busy and i think i'm in a minor writer's block of sorts. but yeah. i've made up my mind. that'll be the last i ever write for her. i have to admit though, this poem was originally inspired by the song Like You, Only Sweeter. though in the end, the only part that shows a connection is the word sweeter. haha. comments comments?

Drip,
From my slit wrist,
My life.

Drip,
From my sad eyes,
My dreams.

Flow,
Gone; my life.
Shattered; my dreams.
