Winter Abroad
Winter Abroad

*something i cooked up during exam.*

He sits by the window,
Watching as it begins to snow,
Oh! How he had dreamt of this,
The unbelievably cold white fleece...

Yet joy was not present in his mind,
As the day slowly starts to unwind,
For all he felt was a great deal of loneliness,
Seeking knowledge in a country of strangers....

She said to him it's for a brighter future,
That's how he ended up here,
Yet the pain's so sharp and raw,
The tears, they won't cease to fall...

Homes
Homes

There used to be laughter,
It Used to be warm,
Now there's nothing i can hear,
where'd the coldness come from?

the humm of the washing machine,
the pitch of the boiling kettle,
home, this has been,
now but a mere shelter,

they say home is where the heart is,
they say home represents family,
so where's my sanctuary where's my peace?
where's may you be? my beloved family?

*kinda sucks. save for the last stanza in my opinion.*

Listen...

Drip,
From my slit wrist,
My life.

Drip,
From my sad eyes,
My dreams.

Flow,
Gone; my life.
Shattered; my dreams.
