Reflections
Reflections

You see in me,
What you wish to be,
But what I show,
Is truth you wish not know,

You see in me,
Reflections of infinity,
Facing each other,
The truth can’t be any further,

Whatever you see in me,
Belies my truth in simplicity,
That is my wisdom,
The truth of which I affirm,

The truth I show,
Is what you don’t wish to know,
Therefore you turn away,
While it eats you day by day,

Yet it keeps me safe,
For I am in essence a waif,
Easily shattered,
Taken for granted,

Love me,
Break me,
I am a mirror,
Reflecting what you see.

Author's Note: I asked Yun to associate me with an object, which she answered Mirror. After a little debate, i realized i've already had the beginnings of a poem forming in my mind. Which is quite surprising as i've not been able to write anything for awhile.

I hope this meets my usual standards, which are quite low in itself in my honest opinion.

And woo... another poem :)

Listen...

Drip,
From my slit wrist,
My life.

Drip,
From my sad eyes,
My dreams.

Flow,
Gone; my life.
Shattered; my dreams.
